|Irish Immigration Department cancels adult round trip visa, convenient!
If you come from the country where the visa is located and have a valid IRP or GNIB card, you will no longer need a visa if you return to Ireland on or after May 13, 2019. You will be able to show your passport and IRP or GNIB card to airlines and immigration officials to prove your right to travel to IrelanD.You will be exempted from the visa requirement.
This policy does not apply to minors!
Recently, the official website of the Irish Immigration Bureau issued a notice to cancel the adult round-trip signature, which used to require Irish foreigners to spend a lot of time making appointments and waiting for the successful round-trip signature to be cancelled.
According to the circular, adult round-trip signatures will end on May 13, 2019, and foreigners holding valid Irish residence permits (IRP) or GNIB cards will no longer need to sign to leave and return to Ireland after May 13. Attorney General Charlie Flanagan announced that the round-trip visa system would end on May 13, 2019, and that foreigners with valid IRP or GNIB cards would no longer need visas to leave and return to IrelanD.The change is expected to affect more than 40,000 people living in Ireland.
The huge demand for round-trip signatures, coupled with the growing demand for visa renewal, has led to a backlog of work in the online reservation system of the Irish Naturalization and Immigration Service (INIS).
Immigration bookings have been delayed for a long time, which has led some unofficial travel agencies to block bookings and sell them online to foreigners for up to 40 euros.
In December 2018, the Ministry of Justice announced that the online system would be replaced in 2019, and the website's procedures are still under construction.
Under the new system, foreign citizens will only need to show their passports to airlines and immigration officials, along with IRP or GNIB cards, to prove their right to travel to IrelanD.Minors and diplomats under the age of 16 need to continue to apply for re-entry visas, while foreigners in Ireland need to apply for multiple round-trip visas before they get the IRP card in the first four months.
The suspension of the system was postponed to 13 May because of the need to notify airlines, ferry companies and immigration authorities of changes in the Irish immigration system.
When the adult round-trip visa is cancelled, foreigners in love will no longer have to pay the following round-trip visa fees:
60 euros for one-way visa, 100 euros for multiple round-trip visa and 160 euros for emergency visA.The Department said that round-trip tickets for minors under the age of 16 would be issued free of charge.
